About the artist – This is not fiction, this is the true story about a little boy who discovered himself very early, at the age of 5…He felt and expressed differently than other children of his age, when he started drawing and painting. Is enough to look at him and you feel what the others , who doesn’t know him, often use to say“ He is an artist”, or “ We imagine that you are an artist”…This is charisma, and you feel it in all that surrounds Ayad Fadel, you feel it in his gestures, in his attitude and in his glibness when he is talking about his art. With charisma you born, you may have it or you not, there is no other alternative.
Ayad Fadel began to draw and to paint in his childhood. He was painting all the time and he use to do portraits, so very soon the family and the relatives were surprised when they saw his sketches. His love for art continued in the next years when he goes out on the street to make portraits.
At the college he was educated in the electric field, but his passion was there, inside, and she grows every day, so he leaved the class and going outside to draw the people arround …and just thinking about art. Because that’s the way he felt, is the only thing that matters to him. Finally after he graduate the college in electric field, he decide to go to Academy of Fine Arts to get his dream or, as he said about himself “to get my real goal for future, to be a big artist, a name in this world, like Rembrandt, Michelangelo or DaVinci. “
Is not easy to do this in this world, but he wants to get more experience and to achieve a high level, to learn new techniques, new things to help him to succeed, so he went for two years at Academy College in Baghdad, to different Belle Arte Institutes, art classes…This is the true story of a boy who felt at 5 that he wants to be an artist…He knows that always has a special feeling about art and he tries to tell stories not by writing, but by transmitting us his vision by pictures, as his own way to tell people what he want to say.
A very important newspaper, writing about his art said that “beautiful experience waged in the world of absolute freedom to express everything like saying directly and indirectly to the real world of limited, and an open letter talking about humanitarian cases different in terms of all times and formulated by the colors and forms of clear or geometrically abstract chipped, not only this, but is drawing only real attempt to move from the world of monotonous reality to the world of colors and dreams floating in large spaces and absolute”…But I feel that’s not enough, you should see his paintings, that wonderful world of colours, sometimes violent, and tough, and hardline in intensity and colors, sometimes pure and delicate like a symphony for the senses who leeds you gently but sure in that wonderland where the story neverends. Because that once arrived for proper there, you feel that is the world you want to be.
Like a real artist, Ayad Fadel doesn’t speak so much about him, but when he speaks about his art the transformation is obvious. And then you may get the knowledge and to uncover the veil of mistery which surrounds him. You can listen him how he became an artist, but also can listen about it’s visionary personal concept like a self expressions of giving something from his own emotion to the other, to feel sharing both the joy and sadness of life and about teaching people hearts, even those who know nothing about art sharing emotions.
“The first language of humanity was drawing”, says Ayad Fadel. “The prehistoric people draw to of express there fear, their love, their dream , art is also about learning to communicate your vision to others.” Just with few words he emphasize a whole world who lives in every one of us but just few chosen are endowed to make the dreams come true, to bring to light the feelings that are living in the clearly obscure of all of us. Ayad Fadel was born in Iraq, Baghdad in a very instructed family, with artistic inclinations. One of his uncles is a very famous musician in Iraq, and the other one is a painter , too. He discovered himself very early, at the age of 5. He felt and expressed differently than other children of his age, when he started drawing and painting. He was painting all the time and he use to do portraits, so very soon the family and the relatives were surprised when they saw his sketches. His love for art continued in the next years when he goes out on the street to make portraits.
He studied at the Fine Art Academy of Baghdad Iraq for two years and continued studying while gaining experience from some renowned artists on order to achieve his goal in the field of art. After he comed in USA he studied for extensive rate experience. From college, Ayad Fadel also has a degree in electric stuff. Statement Through approach of the abstract and the figurative, my work exhibits the essence of thesubject. Through color and activity, my work defines the emotive quality of painting. Incorporating design and cultural identification, I reveal the pains and pleasures of my native country along with my new country ’tis of thee… sweet land of liberty.’
My native country is riddled with beauty and danger. These two extremes that impacts the soul very deeply causes the human condition much anxiety. Therefore, fleeing to a new land, to find tranquility and peace for my family, was reality and a priority. Thus, my art reflects this departure and flight to a new land and finding peace.
In this regard, my work can be seen as a type of self portrait; but also, it is, to be sure, an autobiographical account. Seemingly my main artistic style. I think it’s the way I most easily express my self . The first language of humanity was drawing. Since moving in USA in 2006 , Ayad Fadel wants to get more experience and to achieve a high level, to learn new techniques, new things to help him to succeed, so he follow the studies in Fine Art Institute in Houston. Ayad Fadel art has an international recognition in newspapers from his country and in the neighboring countries where he had exhibitions – Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh, and also in Houston – USA.
