 4-04\n\nThis lecture/workshop will look at basic concepts behind lighting 
 in film and video by challenging the traditional notion of three point lig
 hting. We will discuss the process for creating a lighting design in motio
 n pictures as well as revisiting/uncovering the basic properties of lighti
 ng instruments and the vocabulary we use to talk about light.\nThis lectur
 e centers around the idea 'if you don't know what that light is doing then
  turn it off.' Part lecture and part hands on lighting lab\, each student 
 will be asked to engage in lighting a scene so bring some gloves and an ar
 tistic vision.\n\nStart time: 9:00am - 5:00pm
