 ter of Houston presents An Evening of Middle Eastern Dance.  Sponsored wit
 h Brigid's Place\, this enjoyable evening of dance welcomes people of all 
 ages. \n\nLearn some of the fascinating history and movements of Middle Ea
 stern dance. Based in women's ritual and communal dances\, the steps arise
  from the natural shape of the female body. The dance itself is a reflecti
 on of femininity and its unique expression in each individual dancer. The 
 evening will begin with an introduction to the dance form\, followed by in
 struction on some of the basic movements&mdash\;and practice.\nThis mini w
 orkshop provides a relaxed atmosphere to explore this dance\, have fun\, a
 nd move to great music. No dance experience is required. Please wear comfo
 rtable non-binding clothing and feel welcome to bring hip scarves\, shawls
 \, and/or a swash of fabric to use for hipwork. \n\nKristina Andriana Kout
 soudas (pictured)  has been an independent choreographer\, performer\, and
  teacher of classical and folkloric cultural dance for more than 15 years.
  She has received many awards from both CACHH and TCA\, and has taught and
  performed\, locally and nationally\, at several colleges\, universities\,
  public and private schools\, theaters\, and festivals.\nClick here to reg
