 - 8:00p.\nCurated by Gwynne Rukenbrod\, HCCC Curator of Fine Craft\, In Re
 sidence 2008 showcases new and recent works in a variety of media by Houst
 on Center for Contemporary Craft's 2008 Artists-in-Residence. Featured art
 ists include Jay Calder\, Barbara Kile\, Hyo-in Kim\, Kim Ritter\, John Pa
 ul Van Domelen\, Laura Viada\, and Lynn Williams.\nAbout the Artist-in-Res
 idence (AIR) Program\nHCCC has five on-site artist studios to give visitor
 s an up-close\, insider's view of the creative process. The resident artis
 ts play an integral role in introducing visitors to the hands-on making of
  craft\, while they work to expand the parameters of their chosen medium a
 nd explore new directions in their work. The program\, which provides unde
 rwritten studio rent and a monthly stipend\, is open to local\, national a
 nd international artists working in the traditional craft media of clay\, 
 fiber\, glass\, metal or wood\, as well as mixed media. The artist applica
