 e Houston poets:   Rebecca Spears\, R.T. Castleberry & Stella Brice\, Thur
 sday\, February 25 at 7pm.\nRebecca Spears\, a poet and instructor\, has a
 n MFA from Bennington College. Her writing appears in If These Walls Could
  Speak: The Blanton Museum Poetry Project (University of Texas)\, The Weig
 ht of Addition (Mutabilis Press)\, Texas in Poetry 2 (TCU Press)\, Calyx\,
  Minnesota Review\, Natural Bridge\, Nimrod\, Texas Review\, and other jou
 rnals and anthologies. Spears has received scholarships from the Taos Writ
 ers Workshop (University of New Mexico) and Vermont Studio Center\; she wa
 s a finalist for the 2008 Iowa Review Poetry Award. Her chapbook  is The B
 right Obvious\, called 'elemental\, conversational\, spiritual' by poet La
 urie Kutchins.\nR.T. Castleberry (pictured\, photo by Charles Tatum II) is
  a widely published poet and social critic. An active participant in Houst
 on poetry since the mid-70s\, he was a co-founder of the Flying Dutchman W
 riters Troupe and co-editor/publisher of the monthly magazine Curbside Rev
 iew. His work has appeared most recently in Comstock Review\, The Alembic\
 , Paterson Literary Review\, Caveat Lector\, Perigree\, Silk Road and Arge
 stes. He was a finalist for the 2008 Arts & Letters/Rumi Prize for Poetry.
  His chapbook\, Arriving at the Riverside\, is coming from Finishing Line 
 Press on January 15\, 2010.\nStella Brice is the author of two chapbooks\,
  the most recent of which is a collection of dark fairytale poems called O
 utgrow. She is a Pushcart nominee\, the winner of the John Z. Bennett Priz
 e\, and her work has been featured in numerous journals and anthologies.\n
