Scenes and arias from Gounod's opera, Sapho, and Berlioz' Les Troyens. Piano works of Viardot and Boulanger. Sappho fragments, poetry of Jill Alexander Essbaum, and contemporary dance. (Sapho and Les Troyens selections sung in French with English supertitles.
