His distinct tone was described by the Village Voice as 'powerfully expressive' and the renown jazz critic Gary Giddins professed him to be a 'swarming, spirited tour de force.'=0D=0A=Tim Hagans on trumpet is joined by Seth Paynter, saxophone; Thomas Helton, bass; Richard Cholakian, drums. Hagans steps up the energy by partnering his furious eighth notes with the wild frenetic shapes of the Michele Brangwen Dance Ensemble.=0D=0A=Described by ArtsHouston as 'sensuous and poetic' the Michele Brangwen Dance Ensemble is known for their use of live original music in performance and the integration of musicians into the visual stage imagery.
