The resident artists play an integral role in introducing visitors to the hands-on making of craft, while they work to expand the parameters of their chosen medium and explore new directions in their work. The program, which provides underwritten studio rent and a monthly stipend, is open to local, national and international artists working in the traditional craft media of clay, fiber, glass, metal or wood, as well as mixed media. The artist applicants are juried and selected by the HCCC AIR Committee.=0D=0A=Pictured above: Barbara Kile, Allie, 2009. Felt.
