Billed as “sultry, steamy, exotic and artfully provocative,” the evening offers art, entertainment, shopping, dining, signature drinks from eclectic bars and white linen fashion.=0D=0A=White Linen Night banners will identify participating shops, restaurants, and galleries, scattered throughout the Heights, from 19th Street, Studewood and Yale to Heights Blvd., White Oak and Washington.=0D=0A=“Hot southern nights beg for this type of event,” said Karen Mann, one of the organizers. “It's all about supporting arts, culture and community in a New Orleans meets Houston Heights style.”=0D=0A=This year's celebration will offer complimentary hospitality receptions at different gathering places. Also new are private pre-parties, VIP parties and after-parties, now in the planning stages. Visitors can try local food and drink specialties among the smaller, more intimate gatherings before catching a shuttle or pedi-cabs to join the larger festivities. Tickets to these parties will be available for purchase online at the White Linen Night web site.=0D=0A=“We want people to come see all the Heights has to offer, from the funky bars to the chic boutiques,” Mann added. “Come dressed in white linen and join the celebration. We'll have something for everyone.”=0D=0A=Admission, parking, and shuttle transportation are free throughout the night.=0D=0A=More than 100 sponsors are participating this year.
