This summer, SPA's 2012 Arts Education Fellow will work as a special assistant to the Director of Education and Community Programs, taking the reins in curriculum writing and researching current arts education practices.

Within a flexible summer schedule, the fellow will (1) report on their curriculum writing and research and (2) assume responsibilities in the daily operations of SPA and its Education and Outreach Department.

The experience gained through this summer fellowship will serve as exceptional professional development for arts education practitioners or a strong foundation for a professional arts education career.

Excellent writing skills, self-motivation and organization, and a positive attitude are required. Experience in curriculum writing, elementary or secondary music education and/or performing arts teaching are preferred.

Compensation is provided.
