Arsenic and Old Lace

A. D. Players’ Theatre Arts Academy presents Arsenic and Old Lace, November 3 – 5, 2017.

Mortimer Brewster is living a happy life: he has a steady job at a New York newspaper, he’s become engaged, and he visits his sweet two spinster aunts to announce the engagement!

Although Mortimer has always known his family had a bit of a mad gene — his uncle believes himself to be Teddy Roosevelt — his world is completely turned upside down when he realizes his dear aunts have been poisoning lonely old men and burying them in the cellar.!

When Mortimer’s maniacal brother, Jonathan (who strangely now resembles Boris Karloff) unexpectedly returns home intending harm, Mortimer must rally to help his aunts, protect his fiancée, and fight to maintain his own sanity.

A comedic farce and suspense-based storyline makes Arsenic and Old Lace a favorite classic with theater-goers throughout America.

A. D. Players’ Theater Arts Academy (TAA) offers training for artists of all ages with a primary focus on ages 5 to 18.  TAA specializes in developing individual artistry and the student as a whole. Our Academy is focused on training students and providing them with tools which can be utilized in theater and life experiences.
