Just weeks before serving as a bridesmaid in her best friend Rhonda’s wedding, Adriana Sevan instead becomes Rhonda's bedside companion after Rhonda is horrifically injured on 9/11.

For the next year Adriana devotes herself to aiding Rhonda’s painful recovery—and risks losing herself in the process.

In this unforgettable one-woman show, Sevan herself recounts her true-life experience with compelling honesty, earthy humor and vivid theatricality.

Taking Flight was a contribution to Center Theater Group’s “Solomania” program in 2006 and won “Best Solo Performance” from the San Diego Theatre Critics Awards.

As an actor, Adriana Sevan has appeared at South Coast Rep, LA Theater Works, the Public Theatre, Coconut Grove, ACT and Shakespeare & Co.

She has guest-starred on “Law & Order,” “Sex & the City,” “Deadline” and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent”. Sevan first performed her writing at the 2002 New Works Lab at Intar, in a short piece, Flight, directed and co-conceived with Giovanna Sardelli.

Her work has been developed at Sundance Theater Lab, South Coast Rep, Mark Taper Forum, Rio Hondo College and The Lark. Sevan is collecting family stories of her Armenian ancestors for her next play.
