The Hispanic Book Festival is organized by Millenium Press, a non profit publishng house with the colaborations of the Institute of Hispanic Culture of Houston.

The purpose of the Festival is to promote the local book industry, which includes writers, publishers and self-publishers, book stores, and printers. It also seeks to enhance the reading habit among our community.


Activities Include:
• Exhibition and selling of books in Spanish and English

• Book readings and signings by writers

• Poetry readings by local poets

• Performances by singers and dancing groups

• Seminars about writing, literature, publishing, community affairs and health

The Houston Hispanic Book Festival is sponsored by a group of companies and institutions interested in the development of the Hispanic Community and funded in part by grants from the City of Houston through the Houston Arts Alliance.

Any profit derived from the Festival is used in financing the Millenum Press book publishing program, which produces books about Hispanic themes, that sell at low cost.
