The Aurora Picture Show invites you to VIDEO SALON:   Ant Farm 1969-71: Early Underground Adventures with Space, Land and Time, Sunday, January 11, 1pm.  Filmmaker Laura Harrison in attendance.

Filmmaker Laura Harrison presents a sneak peak of her current documentary project. Ant Farm 1969-71: Early Underground Adventures with Space, Land and Time, currently screening at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, is a 30-minute version of what will be a feature length documentary about the renegade 1970s architecture collective most recognized for the iconic land-art piece, Cadillac Ranch. Radical architects, video pioneers, and mordantly funny cultural commentators, the Ant Farmers created a body of deeply subversive multidisciplinary work that questioned everything by posing a set of creative and comedic alternatives.

Laura Harrison worked for eight years in France as an editor on French feature films before returning to the US to complete an MA in documentary filmmaking from Stanford University. Harrison's award winning documentary Secret People (2000) was broadcast nationally on PBS and won a silver medal for Best Feature Documentary at the SXSW Film Festival. Most recently, she co-executive-produced Voting in America, which was broadcast on PBS in 2004.
