    Among the most highly esteemed painters in Mexico today, Rafael Cauduro (b. 1950) trained originally in architecture and industrial design.

    He is best known for his hyper-realistic and illusionist works in a wide variety of media, including - besides his innovative uses of paint - metals and resins.
