    Dr. Maya Angelou is hailed as one of the great voices of contemporary literature and as a remarkable Renaissance woman. A mesmerizing vision of grace, swaying and stirring when she moves; Dr. Angelou captivates her audiences lyrically with vigor, fire and perception. She has the unique ability to shatter the opaque prisms of race and class between reader and subject throughout her books of poetry and her autobiographies

    VIP patrons are invited to attend a pre-event reception with Dr. Maya Angelou and will receive a signed copy of her new best selling book, Letter to My Daughter together with front orchestra seating.

    $25-$82 Groups of 15 or more, students and seniors who present valid identification will receive a 10% discount.

    Parking:

    The Hobby Center parking garage is located directly behind the complex with easy access from both Rusk and Walker streets. This 7-level, above-ground, 800-car garage offers self-parking ease for patrons and visitors alike. Event parking is an affordable $6 per vehicle. Valet service is provided during performances and in conjunction with Artista operating hours in front of the Hobby Center on Bagby Street, for $15 per vehicle between Rusk and Walker.
