    The Rothko Chapel presents The Siege of Gaza, featuring  Dr. Rashid Khalidi, (pictured), Professor of Arab Studies and Author.  Thursday, February 19, 7 p.m.

    Dr. Rashid Khalidi, the Edward Said Professor of Arab Studies at Columbia University, and author of numerous books including, most recently (2006), The Iron Cage: The Story of The Palestinian Struggle for Statehood, will speak about the siege of Gaza.

    Khalidi brings close to four decades of academic research about the history of the modern Middle East to bear in his analysis of the current situation.

    All events are held at the Chapel and are free and open to the public, unless otherwise noted.

    To help us anticipate seating needs, we invite you to RSVP.

    Because seating is limited, all non-ticketed events are on a first come basis.

    The Rothko Chapel programs are partially funded by Lannan, The Brown Foundation, Inc., the City of Houston through the Houston Arts Alliance, and individual donors.
