    Kickstart presents the  first ever Showdown in H-Town, National Martial Arts Tournament, March 13-14, 2009. This national event will be hosted at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX.

    The 2009 NBL season will begin with a southern bang! Showdown in H-town is one of the two national events in the new Mid-America conference and an added Texas spice to the regional Cowboy conference.

    Kickstart presents the  first ever Showdown in H-Town, National Martial Arts Tournament, March 13-14, 2009. This national event will be hosted at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX.

    The 2009 NBL season will begin with a southern bang! Showdown in H-town is one of the two national events in the new Mid-America conference and an added Texas spice to the regional Cowboy conference.

    You should know that your involvement in KICKSTART’s Showdown in H-Town will not only benefit the National Black Belt League and martial arts community at large, but will directly support over 6300 inner-city and at risk youth in the Houston, Dallas, and Austin areas. The KICKSTART Foundation is in its 16th year of serving communities with character and leadership development through martial arts training. Who knows better than you what martial arts can do for young people.

    Parking:

    The George R. Brown now offers even more parking space with a new parking garage located at the corner of Polk Street and Avenida de las Americas. Conveniently connected to the GRBCC and the Hilton by Level 2 skywalks, parking couldn’t be easier.

    In addition, there are several privately owned surface lots surrounding the convention center. All are just a short walk away or across the street.
