Lecture - Creativity Myth-Busting: What You Need To Know
    Friday, April 3

What do we know about creativity? How can we use that knowledge to deepen the quality of our lives? From Plato's ideas about Muses and madness to contemporary misunderstandings about creativity, we will examine myths that may block professional and personal creative fulfillment.

Jung and humanistic psychologists such as Maslow, Rogers and May spoke eloquently about the power of creativity to heal and help us grow. The field of creativity studies offers valuable insights into the ways we can develop more balance and joy in our lives.

    Workshop - Expanding Your Creativity
    Saturday, April 4
10 am - 4 pm (1.5 hour break for lunch)
    $90 ($80 Jung Center members)
Creativity is a matter of the heart as well as the head. How can we open ourselves to experiences that express our originality? What obstacles stop us from accomplishing what we need? What qualities can we develop to help us exercise our innate creative ability? How can we develop more creative flow?

We will look at the areas of your life where you'd like to expand your creativity and develop a plan to get you there. There will be chances for writing, improvisational acting and meditation as well as for personal sharing. Please bring a notebook for writing exercises and wear comfortable clothing.

Steven Pritzker, Ph.D. is Director of The Masters of Creativity with an Emphasis on Creativity Studies and Creativity Studies Certificate at Saybrook Graduate School in San Francisco. He is Co-Editor-In-Chief of The Encyclopedia of Creativity. Dr. Pritzker was a writer-producer for hundreds of network television episodes including The Mary Tyler Moore Show.
