The Jung Center of Houston presents What Is Jungian Psychology?  Analyst Gretchen Heyer considers the wealth of perspectives within analytical psychology in this lecture.

If you sit down with ten different Jungian analysts to ask this question, you will likely get ten different answers. This variety of views does not break neatly into such categories as classical and developmental. There are quirks and twists; different understandings of analysis, of individuation, of typology and healing. This evening's discussion and lecture will take a quizzical and somewhat humorous look at the multiplicity of Jungian approaches, as well as a few of the commonalities that make Jungian psychology what it is.

Gretchen Heyer, MA, MDiv, LPC, Jungian analyst, is completing her PhD in Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Houston. Her essays and book reviews have appeared in various literary and academic journals. She has presented on Jungian themes to both national and international audiences and practices here in Houston.
