Featuring:
Faculty pianist Brian Connelly and Shepherd School students perform in a program commemorating the 200th anniversary of Felix Mendelssohn’s (pictured) birth.

Piano Trio in D Minor, Op. 49; and Piano Trio in C Minor, Op. 66.

• Parking Info

  The parking system of Rice University is in effect 24 hours a day, every day throughout campus. Both paid and free parking are available for visitors, as outlined below.
  
  
  
  1. Parking lots across the street from Alice Pratt Brown Hall have gated entrances, requiring the driver to insert a credit card (Mastercard, Visa, American Express, or Discover). Importantly, cash is not accepted at the gated lots, nor are debit cards. Entry and exit are only permitted with a credit card that has a functional magnetic strip.
  
  
  
  Parking fees accrue at the rate of $1.00 per 35 minutes, with a $1.00 minimum and a $10.00 daily maximum.
  
  
  
  2. Underground parking is available in the Central Campus Garage located beneath the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management, immediately east of the Shepherd School. The parking fee is $1.00 per 18 minutes, with a $10.00 daily maximum. Both credit cards and cash are accepted here.
  
  
  
  3. Free parking is only available in the Greenbriar Lot located between the Rice Stadium and Greenbriar Drive.
  
  
  
  ARTS @ RICE PARKING CARD
  
  Rice University is providing a special parking card for visitors attending performances at the Shepherd School of Music.
  
  
  
  This card will cost $50 and give the user unlimited access to the Alice Pratt Brown Lot for one semester. They are valid after 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekend days. These special cards are available by sending a $50 check to the Shepherd School Concert Office.
