Hungry's Gallery announces its Third Annual Silent Art Auction and Auction Preview Exhibition. The auction will take place on Saturday, February 21, 2009 from 3 - 6 p.m. at Hungry's Gallery - 2356 Rice Blvd. in Rice Village. Heavy hors d'oeuvres, wine, and other beverages will be served during this event that is free and open to the public.

From February 11 - February 20, the collection of work up for auction can be viewed in an Auction Preview Exhibition at Hungry's Gallery. Interested ones may place early bids on the exhibited artwork during this time.

Every year, Hungry's Gallery holds a silent art auction for the benefit of the Hungry's Gallery grant program. This is the gallery's one opportunity a year to raise money to give back to the community. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the auction will go toward a grant for an emerging Texas artist. Over thirty artists have contributed to the auction this year.

This is a wonderful opportunity to collect work from a wide array of talented artists, including: Laura Bennett, Laura Burlton, Mei-Mei Dillard, Rachel Hewlett, Traci Matlock & Ashley MacLean, Soody Sharifi, Louis Smith, Phyllis Uitti-Maslin, Monique Weston, and many more.
