The Menil Collection presents a Panel Discussion: Contemporary Conversations, John Chamberlain's "American Tableau," Tuesday, May 12, 2009, 8 p.m.

John Chamberlain’s 1984 sculpture forms the third exhibition in the “Contemporary Conversations” series, organized by Franklin Sirmans (pictured), Menil Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art.

Joining him to discuss “American Tableau” are James Harithas who, in 1975, as Director of the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, showed Chamberlain’s “Texas Pieces”; and Marianne Stockebrand, Director of The Chinati Foundation, where “Texas Pieces” are now on view in the Chamberlain Building.
