In its 52nd season, The Country Playhouse (Town & Country Village) presents one of the seasons most anticipated productions, Peter Shaffer’s Amadeus.

Antonio Salieri, court composer to Austrian Emperor Joseph II, maintains his societal stature in 18th century Vienna through double-talk and whispering campaigns by well-placed operatives. When a talented and unorthodox new composer appears in the person of Wolgang "Amadeus" Mozart, Salieri mounts a battle against God, himself, to ensure his defeat.

A veteran cast of talented actors, lavish costumes, dramatic staging, stylized light and unique sound design combine to heighten every dramatic moment.
