Houston Swing Dance Society presents the Great Southwest Lindyfest 2009! Lindyfest is an amazing lindy hop weekend workshop jammed packed with classes for all dance levels, soul sessions with living legends, hot dance performances and four endless nights of dancing.  Lindyfest brings in over 300 dancers from all across the globe to learn lindy hop from the masters and experience the excitement of Lindy Hop, all here in Houston.

Highlights include culture sessions with Frankie Manning, an original lindy hopper from the 30's, inventor of the air step, and true living legend; inspiring sessions with the legendary Dawn Hampton of vaudeville fame; and intense, yet fun, dance instruction from internationally renowned Lindy Hoppers!

We offer classes in Lindy Hop, Balboa, Charleston and more swing era dances. Beginner workshop is also taught for those interested in learning the basics of Swing and Lindy Hop.

9pm-3am dance at the Sheraton Brookhollow Hotel

Friday
11am-7pm Classes at the Jewish Community Center (JCC)
9pm-5am Dance at the Sheraton Brookhollow

Saturday
1pm-7pm Classes at the Jewish Community Center (JCC)
9pm-5am Dance at the Sheraton Brookhollow

Sunday
1pm-7pm Classes at the Jewish Community Center (JCC)
9pm-3am Dance at the Sheraton Brookhollow

Beginner Classes Saturday and Sunday at Sheraton Brookhollow.
