    Come to the Bayou City Classic 10k Run and Walk, co-sponsored by the City of Houston and the Houston Area Road Runners Association (HARRA).

    In existence for 31 years, the Bayou City Classic attracts 3000+ runners and walkers.

    In addition to Cash Awards made to the top 3 Overall Males and Females, and top 3 Age-Graded Overall Masters Males and Females, there will also be Costume Contests!

    Centipedes: A centipede must consist of at least six attached runners in theme costume. Check in before race start at Centipede/Costume tent. One award in each cetegory:

    Proceeds from the HEB Bayou City Classic 10K go toward helping maintain and develop trails for running and walking in our city parks. The trails are available to anyone who lives in or visits Houston looking for a place to exercise, or to find a green haven away from the hustle and bustle of big city life.

    After the race, enjoy refreshments donated by our fabulous sponsors and listen to live music around the reflection pool in Hermann Square in front of City Hall. The Awards Ceremony will begin at 9:30 AM. The Post Race Party will go on and on.

    8:00 am for 10k Run and Walk; 7:50 am for Wheelchairs

    Location: Downtown Houston, Start is on Louisiana Street, near McKinney Street. Finish is on Walker Street by City Hall.
