The John C. Freeman Weather Museum celebrates its third birthday on Earth Day, a free day-long event for the whole family, Wednesday, April 22.

The John C. Freeman Weather Museum, the nation’s first and only museum of its kind, invites everyone to celebrate its third anniversary on Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22.

The free day-long celebration will include admission to the museum and kid-friendly activities the whole family can enjoy.

The John C. Freeman Weather Museum, located at 5104 Caroline in the Museum District, opened its doors in April of 2006 to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.

Founded and operated by meteorologists, the Weather Museum is a project of Weather Research Center, a Houston, Texas based non-profit educational and research organization, whose goal is to reach as many people as possible and educate them about weather and weather safety.
