CLASSES + WORKSHOPS

Christ Church Cathedral's Religion and Arts Council offers instruction in the fifteenth century Russian-Byzantine tradition by Austin artist Irene Pérez-Omer. Held at the Cathedral, the “Beginning Icon Painting” Workshop begins on Monday, June 8 and continues through Saturday, June 13. Classes begin at 9 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. on weekdays. Saturday’s class concludes at noon.

The cost of the workshop is $575 which includes 36 hours of studio instruction and all art supplies. No prior art experience is required. There will be an opportunity for daily prayer and reflection as we explore this tradition of visual scripture. The class size is limited and the deadline for registration is May 1.
