Join Houston Masterworks Chorus on April 25, 2009 for The Voice of Prophecy: Felix Mendelssohn's Elijah the third and final performance of our 23rd season, From Darkness to Light.

We are delighted to perform with Sam Houston State University Symphonic Choir in Stude Concert Hall under the direction of Dr. Allen Hightower (pictured)  to close this season with what is considered Felix Mendelssohn's greatest choral masterwork, Elijah. This spectacular and dramatic piece is the story of the prophet Elijah who acts with great courage and humanity as he struggles with darkness and embraces the light.
