    Emerson String Quartet Master Class

    On Tuesday, April 21st from 12:15 pm - 1:45 pm, Philip  Setzer and Eugene Drucker, violinists from the Emerson String Quartet will be conducting a Master Class in Duncan Recital Hall in the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University. Mr. Setzer and Mr. Drucker will be working with several groups from the Shepherd School and will be providing wonderful feedback and insight into chamber music.

     We would like to invite you and your community to come and be a part  of this special event. There is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome.

     Parking is approximately $3.00 by credit card in the West lot directly  across from the building. You can reach the Shepherd School [in Alice Pratt Brown Building] by using entrance #8 off University Blvd. or #18  off Rice Blvd.

     The Emerson String Quartet will be in concert in Stude Concert Hall  the same evening at 8:00 pm. Tickets are still available from $19.00  to $67.00 and may be purchased by going to our website at  www.HoustonFriendsofMusic.org  or by calling our office at
    713-348-5400. The program will include works by Mozart,  Prokofiev, Webern, and Dvorak.
