    Hands and Feet: A Musical Celebration

    Experience the sounds of period music by joining Hands and Feet: A Musical Celebration Saturday and Sunday, May 2-3, from 10:00a.m. - 4:30p.m. at Barrington Living History Farm.

    Try your hand at period instruments such as a dulcimer, banjo and even spoons. Learn the importance of music and how it affected the lives of the citizens from the 19th century. Interpreters will discuss the importance of music of that era,...

    Experience the sounds of period music by joining Hands and Feet: A Musical Celebration Saturday and Sunday, May 2-3, from 10:00a.m. - 4:30p.m. at Barrington Living History Farm.

    Try your hand at period instruments such as a dulcimer, banjo and even spoons. Learn the importance of music and how it affected the lives of the citizens from the 19th century. Interpreters will discuss the importance of music of that era, including the significance of slave songs.

    Farm admission fees are: Adults-- $4, students-- $2, with children 6 and under admitted free. State Park pass holders are admitted free as well. Discounted tour tickets for Independence Hall and the Star of the Republic Museum are available.

    Celebrate music and the impact it has not only today but over 150 years ago at Barrington Living History Farm, home of Dr. Anson Jones, last president of the Republic of Texas. The Farm is located at Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site off Highway 105 on FM 1155 between Navasota and Brenham.
