Saturday, April 25, from 3pm-9pm,  The Menil Collection presents The Menil Arts Community Open House.

The premier non-profit arts organizations of the Menil community invite you to an open house.  The Menil Arts Community Open House is a FREE afternoon of music, film, readings, and visual arts.  With:  DEMONSTRATIONS, ART SALES, EXHIBITIONS, PERFORMANCES, FAMILY ARTS ACTIVITIES, FILM ARTS AND VIDEOKE.

The Open House will extend across the Menil "campus" from West Alabama to Richmond Avenue, including the Menil's four buildings for art: the 1987 museum designed by architect Renzo Piano to house and display the art collection assembled by Dominique and John de Menil, Cy Twombly Gallery, the Byzantine Fresco Chapel, and Richmond Hall (the permanent installation of work by Dan Flavin).

Presented by:  Aurora Picture Show, COLLAGE:  The Art for Cancer Network, Da Camera of Houston, Houston Center for Photography (HCP), Houston Cinema Arts Society, Inprint, Southwest Alternate Media Project (SWAMP), Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts, The Menil Collection, The Rothko Chapel, UNA-International Choir (UNAIC), Watercolor Arts Society-Houston (WAS-H), and Writers in the Schools (WITS).

FREE PARKING Available in the Menil lot on West Alabama, between Mandell and Mulberry Street.   Various cash food vendors and complimentary treats will be available around campus.  Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the park.  Picnics also welcome!
