Aurora Picture Show and Poison Girl present Drink for Aurora!,  a Poison Girl Minifundraiser for Aurora Sunday, June 7, 5-9PM (Screening at 8:20PM) Location: Poison Girl,1641 Westheimer.

Every first Sunday of the Month, Poison Girl Bar hosts a "Drink Houston Better" event, where all the proceeds from the bar that evening go to one area non-profit organization. On Sunday, June 7th Poison Girl will host Aurora Picture Show, so get a designated driver and join the staff as we raise a glass to Aurora and host a screening of films in the back.

Stop by Poison Girl (everyone’s favorite watering hole on Westheimer close to the Dunlavy intersection) on Sunday, June 7 and raise your glass to Aurora. A portion of the bar tab will be donated to Aurora that evening so drink up (and get a designated driver) and help us continue to bring Houston the latest in noncommercial, independent film, video and new media.

A short screening of films from our hot new Aurora Video Label DVDs will be shown. Selections will include shorts from Enid Baxter Blader's A Film is a Burning Place, Lost Broadcasts: Videos by Eileen Maxson and The Best of Slant Film Festival: Volume One.

Did we mention the vintage pinball and jukebox? It's fun AND it helps Aurora too.
