     Betz Gallery presents an exhibion of work by artist Frank Mazari.  Artist Reception will be on May 2nd The first saturday of the month from 6pm-9pm and the exhibiton will continue through to May 31.

    Mazari says about his work-  "In my work, I strive to elicit the interaction of light on textured surface and to explore the infinite permutations of depth and illusion.  Although the subject matters are often simple figures and still life, there is an element of expressionism that underlies the compositions.

     My approach to painting begins with pure inspiration, which is borne into a theme. From that point, the work takes on a life of its own and guides me through tis evolutionary path. A succession of paint layers provide the foundation and the foreground architecture, which eventually becomes both a visual and tactile experience.”
