The Houston Museum of Natural Science revs up the summer heat with an outstanding lineup for Summer 2009’s Mixers &Elixirs. The perfect party, where the science club meets the social set, happens every Friday night starting June 5th.  This festive phenomenon is the perfect blend of dancing under the dinosaurs to the sultry sounds of some of Houston’s most popular bands, combined with complimentary appetizers and a cash bar, every Friday night through Aug. 28.

The beautiful crowd has never looked so smart! Pop on over to our place, mingle with some party people, clink a few cocktail glasses, and break out your best dance moves. Hitting this scene is a sure sign of intelligence.

At 6 p.m., the soiree begins in the Grand Entry Hall with DJ Gracie Chavez mixing it up on the ones and twos. Then, the doors to the Hall of Paleontology open at 7 p.m. for live entertainment. Groove to the soulful sounds of Grady Gaines & The Texas Upsetters; dance through the 80’s with Molly and the Ringwalds; cha-cha to Latin music provided by Mango Punch and Grupo Ka-Che - or enjoy any of the other dance-able bands in this year’s outstanding lineup.
