Based a true story, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas is a musical romp about Texas' most famous brothel. The Chicken Ranch, operating outside of fictional Gilbert, Texas for more than a century comes under fire when an investigative reporter begins a campaign to shutter the place. Miss Mona Stangley, having inherited the place from the original owner must do her best to protect the girls and repected members of Gilbert society, including the local sheriff, Ed Earl Dodd. Television reporter Melvin P. Thorpe (based on real-life Houston news personality Marvin Zindler) turns the small town upside down in a circus-like anti-prostitution crusade.

The enthusiastic and energetic cast is sure to make The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas a run-a-way hit at Country Playhouse. Make your reservations today!
