Houston Ballet’s fall repertory program Without Boundaries features a world premiere of Elements, by Stanton Welch to the music of Paul Hindemith alongside company premieres by two of the twentieth century’s greatest choreographers.
To see Twyla Tharp's In the Upper Room is to understand her stature in the chronicles of American choreography. No one has more successfully melded the worlds of modern dance and classical ballet. Houston Ballet is pleased to introduce this important work to its repertoire, as well as one by Jiri Kylian.
Kylian's Falling Angels is a study in motion and minimalism featuring eight female dancers. Also on the program is Stanton Welch's foray into the genre of American minimalism.
