Project Row Houses presents the Filming of the movie: Junkies for Salvation, Saturday, June 13, 2009, 5:00PM - 7:00PM, in the courtyard behind 2521 Holman.

Thurman Brown, PRH Studio Artist, invites the community to join him as he films a segment of his original film Junkies for Salvation. This new urban film deals with questions of politics, religion and morality. During this public filming, visitors are invited to participate by being an extra in the filming of a celebration. Those interested in participating are asked to dress casual (jeans and t-shirts will do).

About the Artist:
Thurman is a native of Detroit, Michigan. He founded his first production company, Urban Philosophy Productions, in 2002. The company originated as a writer's group but later developed into a film company. While attending Alabama State University in the fall of 2002, he shot two full-length films based on issues of oppression and conformity. He pursued this independence by relocating to Houston, Texas, to develop his desire for literature, photography, and film.
