On 12 August 2009, the AWA Foundation will host its annual fundraising gala, AWAtini 2: The Watermelon Crawl. AWAtini attracts approximately 200 judges, attorneys, and Houston residents - all eager to support the Association of Women Attorneys and Houston’s law students.

Each year, the AWA Foundation helps Houston law students achieve their dreams by providing scholarships to future lawyers. Last year, we raised over $10,000, enough money to give six scholarships to deserving women in our community. Our goal this year is to raise that number to $15,000!

Since this is the Foundation’s largest fundraiser, it is imperative that we raise as much money as possible in just one night. To do that, the Foundation will be selling AWAtini’s, a colorful martini glass holding a surprise gift card to one of our wonderful sponsors. This year, AWAtini 2 will be at Avant Garden in lower Montrose.

The doors open at 5:30 p.m. and AWAtini’s will be available while supplies last.
