Rudolph Projects ArtScan Gallery is pleased to present the exhibition One Must Be Absolutely Modern, Opening Thursday July 9, 6 - 8pm.

Today, the world of sculpture is as vast as the universe itself. Sculpture as a discipline incorporates every form of art including painting, drawing, video, performance, installation and any other outlier of artistic creativity. Rudolph Projects ArtScan Gallery is proud to offer a view into Houston artists that are working in the diverse discipline of sculpture. Thematically there is no unifying voice to connect every artist in the show. Rather the show is a sample of the city of Houston itself: it is spread out, diverse, chaotic and beyond that, absolutely modern.

    The artists included are:
    Lisa Marie Godfrey
    Anne J. Regan
    Cody Ledvina
    Margarita Cabrera
    Billy Cueto
    Rene Cruz
    Cory Wagner
    Matt Wolf
    Nicholas Meriwether
    Brian English
    Dennis Harper
    Maria Guzman
    Lily Cox-Richard

Exhibition on view through September 5, 2009.

Art is a sharing of personal experience, however profound or mundane. Personal experience is all we have, individually and collectively.
