The contemplative aspects of the world’s great religious traditions are presented in the Twelve Moments of Spirituality and Healing Series, a series of free lunchtime programs. Spiritual practice can offer the possibility of healing—physical and psychological—as it deepens a sense of meaning and connection to what matters most.

Wednesday, July 8: Stephen Findley, Meditation Leader

As part of The Rothko Chapel's ongoing Twelve Moments of Spirituality and Healing series, Stephen Findley, a trained pastoral caregiver and staff chaplain at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center for seven years, will lead a guided laughter meditation at The Rothko Chapel. He is a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader affiliated with Mumbai physician Dr. Madan Kataria's School of Laughter Yoga. Laughter meditation incorporates laughter exercises, deep breathing, guided relaxation, and positive affirmation. Scientific studies suggest that spiritual practice incorporating meditation can offer the possibility of physical and psychological healing and deepen the connection to inner values.
