The Progressive Forum Houston presents Brian Greene, Professor of Physics and Mathematics, Columbia University, and Author of The Elegant Universe, Tuesday September 29 at 7:30 in the Wortham Center, Cullen Theater.
Explore the cosmos with leading theoretical physicist, Brian Greene, who has made ground breaking discoveries in super string theory. His presentations are renowned for their inspiration. He provides a dazzling presentation on a big screen, moving people towards science and the wonders of the universe. And he does so in layman’s language. The Washington Post called him the “single best explainer of abstruse ideas in the world today.”
His wit and humor are on frequent display as guests of David Letterman, Charlie Rose, and Stephen Colbert. He’s author of The Elegant Universe, a Pulitzer finalist which sold over a million copies and was turned into an Emmy award winning PBS series which he hosted. A leader in connecting people to science, he founded the annual New York City’s World Science Festival attended by over 120,000 people a year.
He’ll greet fans and sign books at the end of the evening.
