    Scriptwriters/Houston presents the 19th Annual Ten by Ten, a showcase of 10 contest-winning ten-minute plays by Houston-area playwrights. Sccriptwriters/Houston's showcase presents a collection of ten-minute pieces written by ten local playwrights.     Scriptwriters/Houston presents the 19th Annual Ten by Ten, a showcase of 10 contest-winning ten-minute plays by Houston-area playwrights. Sccriptwriters/Houston's showcase presents a collection of ten-minute pieces written by ten local playwrights. Plays for the showcase were selected by a panel of judges from the Houston theatre community. The winners have been selected and we are proud to announce the works and authors selected for this year's 10 by 10!

    Ten by Ten will run Friday and Saturday AUG 14 & 15, 2009 at 8pm and a MATINEE: Sunday, AUG 16 at 5pm.

    2009 Plays:

    Target by John Kaiser
     "A thriller-comedy about a man out late in a parking who is accosted by various threatening people, one in particular"

    Forbidden Fruit by Elizabeth Keel
    The waitress and the Boss know it all. Will doesn't know Time Travel."

    Family Portrait by Aaron Alon
    "Mrs. Redding insults her children as the photographer works in this comedy."

    The Workshop by Joe Barnes
    "A group of young playwrights snipe and spill secrets while the elder playwright sleeps off a night of drinking. Edgy dialogue ensues."

    "Two couples, males and females, interact about jealousy and death."

    Unleashed by Carl Williams
    "A romantic comedy where Molly gave Chester a ticket for walking his dog without a leash. Judge Ethan tries to find a happy middle ground for them both."
