The Houston Symphony presents Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pops at Jones Hall: Hits of the 60s and 70s with Rockapella

Hear "Rock the Boat," "Shambala," "Here Comes the Sun" and "Under the Boardwalk," performed with infectious energy by this 5-part vocal group and the Houston Symphony. USA Today puts it simply: "Some say the best musical instrument of all is the human voice-if you've seen Rockapella you know that's the truth."

Rockapella started performing in 1986 and continues capturing audiences with the best musical instrument of all – the human voice. The group got its start as a featured artist on the PBS television special “Do it A Cappella.” It showcased Rockapella’s unique sound and talented vocal ability. The group appeared on other television shows on PBS and HBO, as well as “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno, NBC’s “Today Show” and the CBS “Early Show.” Soon, Rockapella developed a strong fan base, spreading its newly created flavor of contemporary pop music throughout the United States, Asia and Europe. Rockapella has even collaborated with the world-famous Boston Pops and sold out venues throughout the nation.
