SPECIAL EVENTS

Two political icons who are widely recognized to have played a leading role in the fall of communism will discuss their battles against the Soviet Union and heart disease. Former President of Poland and Nobel Laureate Lech Walesa (pictured) and former U.S. Congressman Charlie Wilson will be interviewed by Larry King at the Methodist Hospital Leading Hearts Gala. Former President George H.W. Bush and former First Lady Barbara Bush will serve as honorary chairs. The gala will benefit the Methodist DeBakey Heart & Vascular Center in Houston, where both men were treated for heart disease.
