Cantare Houston presents Midnight in the Manger - Cantare at MFAH, December 12-15 at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
Our annual concerts in the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston are perennial sellouts! Led by artistic director and conductor Kevin Riehle, CANTARE consistently weaves musical tapestries and collages of many styles. Mesmerizing audiences with their vocal warmth and energy, CANTARE has discovered a treasured performance space in the resonant galleries of the MFAH. Our music, coupled with the magnificent art of the museum, engages the senses and transports audiences to the ethereal – where the visual and aural bring truly fine art.
Programming classical masterpieces alongside new treasures is a hallmark of CANTARE’s holiday concerts. This year will not disappoint! Featuring the Charpentier Midnight Mass on Noels accompanied by Divisi Strings, the Rheinberger Abendlied, along with music of Alice Parker, Jane Marshall, James Taylor, Chanticleer, and other CANTARE favorites – this year’s concert series is poised to be the best yet!
