The Houston Symphony presents Broadway's Brian Stokes Mitchell: Some Enchanted Evening.  October 16, 17, & 18.

Dubbed “The Last Leading Man” by The New York Times, Mitchell is the quintessential performer, having shown his talents in musical theatre, on and off the big and small screens as well as in concert halls around the country. Mitchell brings his soulful voice to music from Man of La Mancha, South Pacific, and Carousel as well as the classic songs “Some Enchanted Evening” and “The Impossible Dream.” The Houston Symphony also welcomes Chattanooga Symphony & Opera Music Director Bob Bernhardt as its guest conductor for the concerts. Bernhardt is also making his Houston debut and will kick-off the top of the evening with performances of other timeless music like Bizet’s Carmen, Abreu’s Tico Tico, and highlights from Evita.

“It is no exaggeration to say that Brian Stokes Mitchell is right now in a class by himself as a Broadway leading man. No other actor can match his singing voice. No other singer can claim his acting range or experience.”
    -New York Times
