The Winter Street Artists are pleased to announce their Fifth Annual Gallery Exhibit & Open Studios event. Join us for the special opening reception. Guests will have the opportunity to view art, talk with the artists and learn about technique, inspiration and processes all while enjoying musical entertainment, refreshments and snacks.

Almost all of the 75 studios at Winter Street will be open for you to visit with the artists in their working spaces, and perhaps even acquire something that touches you. It is one of the best art fixes in Houston under one roof. See new work in a wide variety of media, and talk with both established and emerging artists in their studios.

Winter Street Studios has become a popular and respected venue for quality art in Houston. Many of the WSS Artists are award winning as well as U.S. and Internationally recognized.  Originally constructed in the early 1930’s, the building was used to serve the railroad. In 2001 the building faced demolition like much of Houston’s historical architecture. Purchased instead by Jon Deal and the Avenue CDC, the building was fully renovated and leases studio space to over ninety artists.
