Fernando Zamudio, Artistic Committee Born and reared in Veracruz, Mexico, Fernando came to the United States as a language student but fell in love with Houston and it's art scene. He has been involved with the stage as a student dancer at the Ballet Nacional de México and now is on the production side as a professional costume designer.

Internationally, he has designed costumes for two co-productions at the Centro Nacional de las Artes and at the Universidad Veracruzana, and one world premiere co-production at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana and at the Universidad Veracruzana. Both of which were under the guidance and supervision of the late, acclaimed and premiere Mexican playwright Emilio Carballido.

In Houston he has designed costumes for the Alley Theatre ASK Program, Main Street Youth Theatre, The Children's Theatre Festival at University of Houston School of Theatre and Dance, Stages Repertory Theatre Early Stages, as well as many productions at The Texas Repertory Theatre and Stages Repertory Theatre. He holds a BA in Theatre from the University of Houston School of Theatre and Dance and a MFA in Costume Design form Boston University. He is currently a third grade bilingual educator in HISD.
