    The 2009 Veterans Day Parade Houston Salutes American Heroes  will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 in downtown Houston.

    The 2009 Veterans Day Parade Houston Salutes American Heroes  will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 in downtown Houston.

    The Houston VA National Cemetery, in conjunction with the City of Houston, is proud to continue the tradition of honoring the brave men and women who have risked their lives for our great nation.  The ceremony begins on the steps of City Hall (901 Bagby) at 10:00, with a moment of silence and presentation in memory of the WWI signing of the Armistice, followed by the parade, which begins at 11:45, Smith Street between Texas and Lamar.
